Outdoor Fall Events at Emory Presbyterian Church

On Friday, September 17, at 6:30 pm, bring your family, your blanket or lawn chair, sit on the lawn by our Labyrinth and listen to The Cosmic Gospel Hour. From “Shall We Gather At The River” to “Everyday People,” TCGH brings together an eclectic array of songs that take you back, lift you up, and bring you home. Cindy Diamond, Ann Duckworth, Leslie Jones, Melanie Hammet, and Ben Holst harmonize together as The Cosmic Gospel Hour. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Suggested donation is $5 per person (over 12 years).

On Sunday, September 19 the annual Blessing of the Animals will happen at the 11 am worship service outside in the garden by the Fellowship Hall. Everyone is invited to bring their furry, fuzzy, scaled or feathered friends to this very special and fun service. Treats will be served for pets and their humans.

The 6th Annual Bluegrass & BBQ Fall Festival will take place on our front lawn on Saturday, October 2 from 11:30am to 6pm. Enjoy live bluegrass music provided by member bands of the Southeast Bluegrass Association while eating delicious BBQ with all the fixin’s. Add fun and games for the kids with a bake sale and concessions, and you’ve got the makings of a perfect fall afternoon! BBQ meal tickets are $4-$8. Regular Summer 2010 Weekly Schedule

Activities and times sometimes vary.

Sunday
9:45 am		Summer Sunday school for adults only.
10:00 am		Adult choir practice
11:00 am		Sunday worship. No Worship Readiness children's class in summer, but children's bulletins are available during worship.
12:15 pm		High school youth lunch
Monday
6:00-8:00 pm		Kids and middle school youth activities every Monday in June and July except June 21 and July 26. Location and activity will vary weekly.
Tuesday
6:45 am		Men's Prayer Breakfast, at the church
Wednesday
		No regular Wednesday activities during summer
